One Tough Cookie!

Jenna's eye surgery yesterday the 19th went well!  Matt and I were with her until they took her to the operating room.  She was all giggles and smiling at everone who walked by.  The surgery lasted about 50 minutes and then they called us back to be with her.  Luckily the doctor and 2 nurses had already been out to prep us for what she looked like and that the swelling would get better as the hours passed by.  Poor Jenna's eyes were swollen shut and the whites of her eyes were blood red.  The tears that came out were blood and we were to just blot them with the gauze pads they gave us.  We got home around noon and she took about 2 bites of chicken noodle soup and drank half a glass of her favorite strawberry/banana/pineapple juice and then went down for a nap until 4:30.  When she woke up, the swelling had gone down, but her eyes were and still are blood red.  She wanted to play last night and today and acts as if nothing has happened....of course until I have to put the drops and ointment her eyes.  We go back to the doctor tomorrow for a follow-up visit.  She is one tough cookie!
