Palate Repaired?????????

Now that we have been a few days we have been able to get out all the papers that were given in us in Vietnam. Looking over her medical reports we found one that states that Caroline's cleft palate was repaired in November of 2006. WHAT??????????  This is the absolute first we had heard of it. Actually at the medical appointment the doctor asked us if we knew of her cleft palate? Don't get me wrong, we are so happy that she would not have to have surgery, but it is strange that it was repaired in 2006 and we are just now aware of it. The first day we got her I looked and felt and could not see or feel anything. Remember, I said I did not think her cleft palate was too bad. Well, we are scheduled to see the ENT surgeon on the 12th and I am quite sure she will have some definitive answers for us.
Caroline was doing a little bit of talking in VN, but she has not spoke in 5 days. While in VN she would "parrot talk", repeat several words for us, but NOTHING since we have been home. So, if any of you parents out there have or are experiencing this with your child I would love to hear your suggestions, story, input....whatever.
Well, we have got to finish lunch and get done for a nap. Oh how mommy looks forward to nap time!!!!!!!!!!! ( I love taking naps)
Love & prayers,
Laura
