A Poem for our "Precious Child"

You are a gift from heaven to this earth

A light that will shine from the moment of your birth.

A faraway place is where you are from

I imagine you there waiting for us to come.

My heart is full of hope for your future and tomorrow

I feel an urgency to get there and wipe away your sorrow.

To touch your life would be such a blessing

To hold you close is something we are truly missing.

Where ever you are with your bright brown eyes

I see you in my heart for that is where my hope for you lies.

Please trust the Lord to lead us to you

For that is what your Mommy and Daddy will do.

Our love, hopes and dreams are waiting for you here.

We will love you forever and calm every fear.

So as you patiently wait each day and night

Remember soon we will be holding you tight.
