Ag Days USA 2008. Once a year uptown Mt. Carmel is transformed into a street festival , complete with rides and lots of food. It ran from Wednesday through Saturday. And yes we went each night!

We all adorned our “vote for Cassie” shirts and headed uptown. On Friday & Saturday David helped out at Cassie’s campaign booth, handing out balloons to kids.

I had bought ride tickets a few weeks ago, so we had been talking about going to Ag days for a while. Molly had seen a big Ferris wheel at a fair and just knew there would be one for them to ride. The only Ferris wheel was a small one for kids and they liked it. Fact is they loved all the rides for their age group. By Friday night they had used all their tickets up!! So on Saturday I had told them that if we went, we would only be eating our supper, no rides! They seemed okay with that. Well, before we left the house Grandma came for a visit and gave them each some money for rides. Oh boy! They were excited about that. As you can see from the pictures the girls had a great time on the rides.

Lindy and Molly’s favorite eats, well there were several. One was the “meat sticks” AKA shish-ka-bobs! The first night we bought two … David and I barely got any! I was so funny. They looked like little birds waiting for a worm, with their necks stretched out and mouths wide open. So the next night they each got their own. Lindy finished the whole thing by herself!! Also a big hit were the dippin dots ice cream. We had those a few times too.

It was so fun watching our girls having so much fun. I am already looking forward to next year.
