This is the family portrait we sent to the China Center for Adoption Affairs

affectionately known as the CCAA. We included our 100 WISHES QUILT

Katie and I made for Gabriella. We hoped posing infront of the quilt would

gain us favor from the CCAA and our waiting time would be greatly reduced.

The giving of a 100 Wishes Quilt to a new member of the family is a cultural

tradition in Chinese families. I think the proper term for this is brown

nosing. We will see how this works...

WE GOT OUR PA IN 20 DAYS! WE RECEIVED OUR LOA IN 60 DAYS! OUR

TA CAME IN 21 DAYS! OUR TRAVEL DATE WAS APRIL 30, 2008 AND

FROM TA TO DEPARTURE IS 29 DAYS, TOTALING 130 DAYS FROM LID

TO DEPARTURE! WE WERE EXCEEDINGLY LUCKY, FROM THE DAY OF

OUR SN REFERRAL (December 14, 2007) TO OUR ARRIVAL HOME DATE

(May 14, 2008) WAS EXACTLY 5 MONTHS!       *~Thank you FTIA~*
